A study prepared by Copenhagen Economics demonstrates that there is a unrealised potential to increase trade in the services sector

The study demonstrates that a fragmented services market hampers productivity grotwh in services and a full implementation and enforcement of the Services Directive alone can add 2% EU GDP. Furthermore, the study concludes services has become increasingly important because of digitalization, servitization and innovation, but EU countries are not fully prepared for this.
